In the framework of technical collaborations with the European Space Agency, JAST is developing innovative low-profile Ku-band front-ends for satcom mobile ground terminals. In collaboration with SES Astra and other companies, JAST is prime contractor in of the Hi-Sat project and participates in the NATALIA project, both focused on mobile Ku-Band antennas.

| NATALIA: New Automotive Tracking Antenna for Low-cost Innovative Applications Project Objectives The objective of the NATALIA project is to realise a Ku-band antenna front-end which will be part of a mobile satellite terminal for automotive applications. The complete demonstrator will consists not only of the antenna front-end envisaged here, but also of a receiver front-end which is being developed in a separate project. The NATALIA antenna has to be fully electronically steerable,receive-only, and will be suited for customised KU-band broadcast services of providers like SES Astra. |
